8 Night Cruise sailing from Bristol roundtrip aboard Discovery.

The 20,186 grt Discovery has eight passenger decks, is stabilised and air conditioned, and is the perfect size for accessing more remote ports of call. In preparation for her debut CMV programme, Discovery is undergoing extensive refurbishment. Facilities include the Carousel Lounge, where you may enjoy colourful floor shows performed by our artistic show-team or the talents of one of our guest entertainers. With its panoramic views, Palm Court is a delightful venue to relax and watch the world sail by or to chat with fellow passengers after another wonderful day ashore. By contrast, the Discovery Lounge is the place to be for late night cabaret and to dance the night away. Discovery offers traditional two sitting dining in the Seven Continents Restaurant or, as an alternative and subject to weather conditions, buffet style meals at the Lido. In addition, Discovery provides a shopping gallery, internet centre, a cinema/lecture lounge, card room and well stocked library. Be pampered with a massage or sauna, make use of the hairdressing and beauty facilities, or work out in the gym. She offers extensive deck areas, two swimming pools, two whirlpools and a pool bar.

Your voyage begins with a relaxing Easter Sunday spent enjoying life on board Discovery. Your first call is La Coruña in the Spanish province of Galacia from where the Spanish Armada once set sail. Explore this historic port town, stroll the seafront, or opt to visit the famous pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela. On now to Portugal and Leixoes from where you may visit Oporto on the banks of the Duoro River. Famous for its Port wine, Oporto is the seat of centuries of Portuguese culture. Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, stands on the River Tegus, down which the great explorers once sailed. It presents some wonderful sights such as the Belem Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Statue of Christ the King. Marvel at the city's magnificent buildings or take a tram ride through the old Alfama district. Step ashore at the Asturian city of Aviles to explore the colourful streets of the old town and browse the colourful shops. An optional excursion will take you to Oviedo, capital of Asturias, with its elegant cathedral and 'sidrerias' bars serving the unique Asturian cider.
