Independence of the Seas

6 Night Cruise sailing from Ft Lauderdale roundtrip aboard Independence of the Seas.

Meet Independence of the Seas, the third in our spectacular Freedom class of ships. Seasonally ported in Southampton, England for part of the year, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida the rest of the year, this ship offers all of the amazing onboard experiences you'd expect from our Freedom Class of ships, while cruising to your choice of destinations in Europe or the Caribbean.

No one knows the Caribbean better than we do. After all, it is our middle name. And when it comes to beautiful beaches and sparkling blue waters, the Caribbean really is in a league of its own. There are countless adventures within reach on your cruise holiday.

Highlights of this cruise:

Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale lies along the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the New River, 25 miles north of Miami. Its warm tropical weather attracts many people throughout the year. For sun-worshippers, the city has six miles of beaches. There are also many recreational waterways with extensive boating facilities, access to every conceivable water sport, a variety of fascinating museums and trendy restaurants, and an array of entertainment venues.

George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is one of a group of three magnificent tropical islands Christopher Columbus called 'Las Tortugas' (the turtles) for the sea creatures he found in the ocean water. The designation did not endure, however, for on later maps the islands were labelled the Caimanau, the Carib Indian word for 'crocodile'. The name 'Caimanas' refers inaccurately to the iguanas native to the islands, which were perhaps at one point mistaken for crocodiles. Among other attractions, visitors to the island will enjoy learning about the turtles, visiting the town of Hell, exploring Seven-Mile Beach and enjoying the undersea world.

Falmouth, Jamaica
Step off the ship and step back in time. To a time when quaint wooden houses lined the streets, village carpenters crafted bespoke furniture, and tavern keepers warmly greeted the town's guests. And of course, Falmouth, Jamaica also enjoys the beautiful Caribbean sun. You'll return with sun-kissed skin, lasting memories and interesting historical titbits to share with friends, like this one: Falmouth received piped water before New York City.

Labadee, Haiti
On the north coast of Hispaniola, surrounded by beautiful mountain slopes and exotic foliage, sits Labadee®, Royal Caribbean's private paradise. This exclusive destination offers pristine beaches, breathtaking scenery and spectacular water activities. We even have an amazing new Aqua Park for children. Regardless of where you go, you'll find yourself embraced by the beautiful landscape. Labadee's native charm, along with its natural beauty, makes this a destination not to be missed. Only Royal Caribbean can take you here.
