MSC Divina
MSC Divina

8 Night Cruise sailing from Genoa to Venice aboard MSC Divina.

The new vessel MSC Divina will reflect the qualities of her sister ships, MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia, while enhancing them in ways that will delight even our most demanding guests. For example, she will have 100 additional cabins and innovative new features such as the gorgeous Infinity Pool in the aft.

Highlights of this cruise:

Genoa
A beautiful port cradled between land and sea.
Cradled between land and sea and with a working port, the Italian vacation destination of Genoa on the west coast of Italy displays its past through her many palaces and the surrounding ancient terraced hills.

Genoa has many different faces; at once a modern metropolis and a rigorous custodian of artistic heritage, as well as an industrious marketplace with centuries-old parks perfect for relaxation.

Genoa hides her riches in an historical centre that looks traditionally seaward yet at the same time exhibits a new beauty achieved by restoring the splendour of ages past.

Rome (Civitavecchia)
Drink in the history, architecture and, perhaps, a little Frascati?
The port city of Civitavecchia lies about an hour from Italy's capital and is where your MSC luxury cruise liner will dock before taking lucky cruise holiday-makers to the city of Rome.

Rome - where do we start? It is the ultimate cruise holiday destination. There is perhaps no other city so crammed full of history, with layer upon layer of fabulous ruins, imperial temples.not to mention Etruscan tombs, early Christian churches, medieval bell towers, Renaissance palaces and baroque basilicas.

And all of these magnificent sights lie under the extraordinary warmth and light of the Roman sun.

Rome truly is a dream city and will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your Mediterranean cruise.

Messina
Messina is a pleasant town located to the northeast of the island of Sicily.

Located on the Messina Straits and with a large natural harbour, Messina is one of the busiest ports in the Mediterranean.

Its strategic location just five kilometres from the Italian mainland has made it an important site for silk, textile and chemical industries and a regular a port for ferries and cruise liners.

Valletta
Years of history living passionately in the present.
La Valletta is a city situated on the island of Malta, which lies 60 miles south of Sicily.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, here you'll find 7000 years of history living passionately in the present.

Corfu
A Greek island cruise to Corfu can be anything you want it to be.
For British holidaymakers cruises to Corfu are a perennial favourite. In Corfu, your Greek island cruise really can be anything you want it to be thanks to its fabulous beaches, beautiful interior and, this being Greece, thousands of years of history.

Corfu has been written about by so many illustrious writers and poets who were drawn here by the island's spectacular natural beauty. Ulysses on his own Greek island cruise stopped at Corfu on his return to Ithaca and visitors will still sense the ancient atmosphere of this unspoiled island, as though one could magically step back in time at any moment.

Piraeus (Athens)
From Piraeus to The Parthenon and the 'Plaka' Athens is a 'Must-See'.

"Athens, the eye of Greece, mother of arts and eloquence" so wrote Milton in his poem Paradise Regained, and Athens truly is a city of 'art and eloquence'.

Your Greece cruise really begins to take shape when your MSC cruise ship docks in the port of Piraeus. If you're not heading straight for Athens you could do worse than opt for a seafood lunch at one of the many excellent harbourside restaurants. And, don't be put off from ordering a glass of wine because you once tried Retsina and didn't like it, the pine barrels used to make Retsina make it something of challenge for Northern Europeans, but Greece has many excellent wines that are well worth trying. Naturally the fish is as fresh and delicious as anything in the Med'.

Athens is dominated by the flat-topped hill of the Acropolis site of the Parthenon, one of the most famous classical monuments in the world. Even today it's simple perfection represents one of architecture's outstanding moments. A Greece cruise will introduce you to the unique charm that is Athens. It may be choked with traffic and burdened with a mountain of debt but its lively character will seduce you and the thousands of other visitors who flock here every year! Street markets, vine-covered taverns, souvenir stalls and ancient monuments are all part of Athens, making it a unique cruise destination.

A tour of the historic sites is a must here; choose from the Acropolis, Parthenon and archaeological museum or admire the views and ancient temples in old Cape Sounion. For those who prefer a gentler itinerary, our panoramic tour of Athens takes in the main sights with photo opportunities from the comfort of your coach.

Cruise passengers that really wish to immerse themselves in ancient Greek history can step back in time during our 'voyage to ancient Greece', which includes an un-missable stop at the brand new Acropolis Museum.

You can then return to the ship with a suitable souvenir to remember your holiday by, as well as a lasting sense of wonder.

Kotor
One the UNESCO World heritage sites located on a stunning bay.
Kotor is an old Mediterranean port located on a stunning bay in Montenegro, Serbia.
The town is surrounded by well-preserved walls and features many landmarks which have helped earned Kotor a place on the UNESCO World heritage site list.

Interestingly, Venice had control of Kotor from 1420 to 1797 and this Italian influence can be observed in Kotor's architecture; visitors can walk through 6th century churches and explore stunning piazzas.

It is well worth leaving your luxury MSC cruise liner for the day and coming ashore in Kotor. You don't need to venture far for this unique destination to reveal its charms. Join our city walking tour, which takes in the old town, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in this part of the Mediterranean.

We will continue exploring and head on to Perast, a city renowned for its exquisite Baroque architecture, full of lavish palaces and houses. Our other Kotor excursion packages not only offer the best deals on local sights but will also take you further afield; epicureans won't want to miss our outing to Njegusi, a unique village renowned for its production of air-dried hams and local cheeses.

Try and take home some tasty holiday souvenirs! History lovers on board the ship will be keen to take the Montenegro coastal tour, which covers Kotor and Budva, which, at over 2,500 years old is one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast.

Montenegro is a lesser-known vacation destination but its beauty is all the more appealing for being such a well-kept secret.

Venice
A Cruise from Venice? Few Travel Experiences Can Comapare..
Cruising to Venice, a cruise from Venice, it all somehow seems ... appropriate. Cars have been baished from the maze of narrow cobbled streets and the 500 ancient bridges that make up the city centre so, when in Venice, do as the Venetian's do and take a gondola ride and let this magical city glide by.

From St Marks Square, with its ancient Basilica, lavish Doges Palace and imposing bell tower, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs this is a city of breathtaking beauty. To get a different perspective on Venice take a boat to the Island of Murano (home to the famous glass blowers) or join an excursion package around Venice itself.

A guided tour will help you understand how this enchanting city survives, despite being built on a series of wooden poles and despite the flowing waters of the Adriatic underneath the city. World-renowned for its canals and bridges, Venice is visually stunning, thanks to its higgledy-piggledy array of palaces, churches and colourful, narrow streets.

A lovely way to spend the day is to combine a gondola and walking tour: a gondola ride is another 'must-do' experience, whilst the secrets and history of Venice's 'calli' (streets) will be revealed to you by your knowledgeable guide.

Your cruise from Venice may leave you with with many tangible souvenirs, but the most lasting souvenir will be your impression of the city itself - don't forget your camera!
